The LBCC Symphony Orchestra offers students and community members
the opportunity to study orchestral techniques through reading,
rehearsal and performance of orchestral repertoire in an enjoyable
learning environment. The ensemble is intended for musicians who
have a background on an orchestral instrument or those wishing
to obtain more experience on an orchestral instrument. Auditions
for new orchestra members are held at the start of each academic
semester and to obtain more information on the ensemble or audition
procedures please contact Marshall Fulbright, Director of Orchestras

The LBCC Chamber Orchestra offers students the opportunity to
study orchestral techniques through reading, rehearsal and performance
of small orchestral repertoire in a structured yet pleasant academic
environment. The course is designed for musicians seeking to obtain
a deeper appreciation and understanding of orchestral literature
through performance. Students will explore the music of the baroque,
classical, romantic, and 20th century musical periods as well
as recently composed compositions. Course work will include a
combination of large and small ensemble participation in addition
to individual and/or sectional sessions.

LBCC Music Department Tour!!!
Mark you calendars! The LBCC Chamber Orchestra, and other deparment ensembles, will again be embarking on an exciting, funfilled 4 day tour in 2009!!! Last April the LBCC Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble successfully completed a tour which took us to San Luis Obispo and San Francisco. It was a great success and all had a great time. We are looking forward to another fun adventure in 2009
